Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled CISRS qualified (Part 2 minimum/ Advanced preferred) Scaffolder to join our team. The candidate we are looking for will be confident fixing and dismantling various scaffolding structures on different sites, to a high standard, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
The current yard is located right outside Guildford, but location will be moving to closer to Farnham/Farnborough area in the next 6 months. The candidate must be willing to travel around the South East as we cover a wide area, including Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and outskirts of Wiltshire (Salisbury) and Kent (Tonbridge).
The successful applicant will possess a range of technical skills and experience in the scaffolding industry, and be well trained.
Duties
- Erect, modify, and dismantle complex scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Inspect scaffolding for stability, safety, and TG20 compliance throughout the duration of the project.
- Communicate with other trades such as carpenters, roofers, heating engineers, and electricians on site to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble scaffolding components accurately.
- Ensure all scaffolding is secure and safe for use by workers at various heights.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries on site, including PPE at all times.
- Assist in training junior team members when required, sharing expertise in advanced scaffolding techniques.
Skills
- CISRS card and asbestos awareness training either in date or willing to acquire before start date (online course for asbestos awareness is required).
- Proven experience in advanced scaffolding roles within construction environments.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations related to working at heights.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan scaffold layouts efficiently.
- Physical fitness to work at heights for extended periods and lift heavy materials safely.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and site managers effectively. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring specialised skills in scaffolding construction while ensuring safety remains paramount throughout all operations.
