Darley Deli & Co is an exciting new independent deli opening in the heart of Darley Abbey Mills, and we're looking for a passionate, energetic Deli Supervisor to help us grow.

The Role
As Deli Supervisor, you'll work closely with the owners to help oversee the day-to-day running of the deli, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile.
You'll lead by example, support the team during busy periods and help maintain the high standards we're passionate about.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising the daily operation of the deli
- Delivering exceptional customer service
- Leading and motivating the team during service
- Preparing and merchandising attractive food displays
- Helping develop exciting new deli products and seasonal specials
- Growing our retail offering with beautifully presented artisan products
- Assisting with stock control and ordering
- Opening and closing the business when required
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and presentation standards
- Supporting the training and development of new team members
- Bringing ideas and enthusiasm to help the business continue to grow
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a deli, café, food retail or hospitality environment
- Has previous supervisory or team leader experience
- Is organised, reliable and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Has a genuine passion for quality food and outstanding customer service
- Leads by example and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves
- Takes pride in creating beautiful food and retail displays
- Wants to grow with an exciting independent business
Working Hours
This role starts at min 16 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as the business grows.
The successful applicant must be flexible and able to work:
- Daytime shifts
- Weekends (with one full weekend off every month)
- Additional hours during busy seasonal periods when required

Experience
- Hospitality, café, deli or food retail: 2 years preferred
- Supervisory experience: 1 year preferred
