We are looking for a Room based Lead Practitioner to join our team. You will be running the setting on a day to day basis with support from the settings manager and higher management team who over see all of our other sites.
This will be a term time only role 8:00 - 16:00 Monday - Friday.
We are looking for someone who can provide safe, high quality care and education within the provision for 9 months -4 year old's.
You will need to be trained to at least a full relevant Level 3 in Early years with at least two years post qualification experience within an Early years setting. You will ensure that all statutory guidance and business obligations are met to a high standard at all times. You will have a group of key children.
You will complete safeguarding training courses covering an array of child protection areas including - prevent, counter-terrorism- county lines, as well as completing the Designated safe guarding training to be the settings Lead DSL. You will have a strong commitment to promoting a culture of safeguarding with children and adults.
You will hold a full current paediatric first aid certificate
You will have a very good understanding of GDPR, Send code of practice, behaviour management and be willing to work alongside the setting SENDco to support the needs of all the children to your best ability.
You will have excellent communication skills both verbally and written, you will be able to use these skills effectively to write reports and communicate with Children, Colleges, Parents and professionals.
Being a part of the team will require you to be positive, fun, proactive and very approachable, with a good sense of humour. You will need to show initiative and team building skills to have the most outstanding team. To enable you to support the staff members within your team through supervision meetings and day to day practice.
This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders Act (1974) and does require an enhanced Disclosure and barring check.
