Care Home Cook Wanted
Hawthorn Manor Residential Home we are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and caring Care Home Cook to join our friendly team.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in preparing fresh, nutritious and enjoyable meals and is committed to providing the very best dining experience for our residents. Food is an important part of daily life within our home, and we want someone who understands how meaningful a good meal can be.
As our Care Home Cook, you will be supported to bring new ideas to the kitchen, help develop exciting and varied menus, and create delicious meals that reflect our residents’ individual preferences and dietary needs.
Your role will include:
- Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious and appetising meals for our residents.
- Supporting with the development of new, varied and seasonal menus.
- Introducing new meal ideas and helping to make mealtimes enjoyable and exciting.
- Taking residents’ likes, dislikes, preferences and dietary requirements into account.
- Preparing suitable meals for residents with specific dietary needs or modified diets.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
- Working closely with the Home Manager and care team to ensure residents receive high-quality meals and a positive dining experience.
We are looking for someone who is:

Previous experience working as a cook is desirable. We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for cooking and a desire to provide the best possible meals and dining experience for the people we support.
