Job Title: General Maintenance Worker

Location: Onsite at manufacturing site – Sleaford, Lincolnshire
Work Times: 8:00am to 4:00pm (Monday to Friday). A degree of flexibility will be needed at peak periods.

Role Overview
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality and physical appearance of our property. Primary focus will be performing routine repairs, conducting preventative upkeep, and quickly responding to facility issues to ensure a smooth-running environment for staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
- Perform routine repairs involving basic plumbing, carpentry and basic decorating tasks
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks on HVAC systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot facility issues such as leaking pipes, broken fixtures, or faulty lighting.
- Complete basic carpentry tasks including repairing doors and furniture.
- Maintain the exterior by clearing debris and minor landscaping
- Inspect building systems regularly to identify safety hazards or areas needing repair.
- Manage maintenance inventory by tracking supplies, tools, and ordering new materials.
- Respond to urgent requests from staff or to resolve issues promptly.
- Adhere to safety regulations with the use of protective gear.
- Keep detailed records of completed work orders and daily maintenance logs
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in general property or facility maintenance.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid hands-on understanding of basic plumbing and carpentry skills
- Good physical Ability
- Valid UK Driving license
Desirable
- Ability to identify mechanical problems quickly and find efficient solutions.
- Proven capacity to prioritise urgent work orders and manage daily tasks.
- Keen eye for identifying wear, tear, and potential structural issues.
