Your Role!
As a key member of Property Services Team, the Damp and Disrepair Surveyor will assist in the delivery of a highly professional service specific to all elements of surveying, which will include planning, surveying/specifying, working to the strict guidelines that come under "Awabb's Law"
An excellent knowledge of social housing and construction legislation and experience in carrying out all type of building surveys will be expected. An excellent working knowledge of on-site health and safety legislation will be a requirement. Experience of energy efficiency retrofit works will be advantageous.
Managing and delivering works raised through Scott Schedules, damp surveys in conjunction with the Council’s external contractors.
Have a key role in ensuring effective and consistent customer communication and engagement in the planning, delivery of all works related to Damp and Disrepair

About You!
Appropriate academic, professional or technical qualifications in surveying, building or construction (e.g. Degree in Surveying, Btec HNC, RICS or CIOB Membership) OR Qualified by experience to an equivalent level
Experience in general building surveying and the ability to diagnose complex repairs
Working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 relating to maintenance and construction works
