We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Care Home Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team at Church View Care Home. Church View is part of Regional and National Award winning care provider Strong Life Care.
In this vital leadership role, you will support the overall management of the care home, ensuring the delivery of exceptional senior care services. Your energetic and hands on approach to leadership will add to our positive environment for residents and staff alike, promoting high standards of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and medication administration. You will play a key part in supervising daily operations, assisting with care plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Duties
- Assist the Care Home Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Supervise and support care staff, fostering a motivated and professional team environment
- Contribute to the development and implementation of personalized care plans for residents, including those with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
- Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and in accordance with legal and safety standards
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards
- Support residents’ emotional well-being by promoting engaging activities and maintaining a warm, caring atmosphere
- Assist with staff training, supervision, and performance reviews to uphold high standards of care in the home
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a focus on senior care
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a care home setting
- In-depth knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and medication management protocols
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs
- Demonstrated competence in managing compliance with regulatory standards for home care facilities
- Compassionate approach combined with proactive problem-solving abilities to enhance resident quality of life
