Residential Children's Support Worker

Salary: £28,080 per annum (40 hours per week) + £50 per sleep-in

We're looking for passionate, caring and committed Residential Children's Support Workers to join our dedicated team at our warm and welcoming 3-bed Ofsted-registered children's home in Chudleigh Knighton.
Our home supports children and young people aged 10–16 with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. Every day is an opportunity to help our young people build confidence, develop independence, celebrate achievements and reach new milestones.

About the Role
As a Residential Children's Support Worker, you'll:
- Build positive, trusting relationships with our children and young people.
- Provide consistent, person-centred care and emotional support.
- Support children with daily routines, education, life skills and community activities.
- Promote independence, confidence and wellbeing.
- Work as part of a settled, supportive team to create a safe, nurturing home environment.
- Celebrate every achievement, no matter how big or small.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are:

Essential/Preferred Requirements
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or over.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred.
- Previous experience in children's residential care is welcomed but not essential if you share our values and commitment to learning.

Working Pattern
You'll work 40 hours per week, typically across five days, with shifts of:
- 7:00am – 3:00pm
- 2:00pm – 8:00pm
In addition, you'll benefit from:
- At least one full weekend off every month
- An average of one sleep-in every other week
- A rota designed to promote a healthy work-life balance while providing consistency for the children we support.
