An exciting opportunity has arisen with Bidvest Noonan for an Area Support Security Officer to join our team covering a portfolio of client sites across the Bristol and Bath area.
This role is ideal for a professional, flexible and customer-focused individual who enjoys variety in their work and is committed to delivering exceptional service. As an Area Support Security Officer, you will provide security cover across multiple locations, supporting site teams and ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of security, customer service and professionalism while adapting to different sites and operational requirements throughout the region.
Responsibilities
- Reinforce our vision of always being our clients' "Partner of Choice".
- Provide security support across multiple client sites in the Bristol and Bath area as required.
- Ensure client premises and surrounding areas remain safe and secure through regular internal and external patrols.
- Control access and permit entry only to authorised personnel and visitors.
- Monitor and proactively operate CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity and capture evidential footage when required.
- Respond professionally to alarms, incidents, emergencies and security breaches.
- Provide a visible security presence and act as a deterrent to crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Complete accurate incident reports, site logs and handover documentation.
- Advise management of any security occurrences, system failures or potential risks identified on site.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to clients, staff, visitors and members of the public.
- Comply with SIA regulations, company procedures, client instructions and industry best practice.
- Provide First Aid assistance where required.
- Support site teams with additional operational requirements and provide cover for planned and unplanned absences.
- Actively contribute towards achieving company objectives, operational targets and client satisfaction.
Criteria
Essential
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence or Security Guarding Licence.
- Full UK Driving Licence with access to reliable transport.
- Flexible approach to working hours, locations and shift patterns.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and professional attitude.
Desirable
- Valid CCTV Licence or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
- First Aid qualification.
- Previous experience working across multiple security sites.
- Good IT skills and experience using security systems and reporting platforms.
