Role Purpose
To support the smooth, safe and accurate movement of raw materials, packaging and finished goods
across the warehouse and production areas, ensuring stock accuracy, traceability, and timely dispatch
to our third party logistics team.
Key Responsibilities
Goods Receipt & Intake
● Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes
● Inspect product quality, packaging, and labelling
● Record intake information accurately and in real time
● Store goods correctly and promptly in designated locations
● Flag and escalate any discrepancies or non-compliant goods
Stock Control & Traceability
● Maintain accurate stock records (batch codes, dates, suppliers)
● Follow FIFO and FEFO principles
● Ensure stock is correctly located and accessible for production
● Support stock counts and highlight discrepancies
Food Safety & Compliance
● Follow HACCP procedures and complete required checks
● Take and record product temperatures
● Identify and report any food safety risks or concerns
● Maintain compliance with all food safety standards
Health & Safety
● Follow safe working practices at all times
● Use appropriate equipment and PPE
● Keep work areas clean, organised, and hazard-free
● Complete equipment checks and report issues
Communication & Teamwork
● Communicate delays, shortages, or issues impacting production
● Work collaboratively with warehouse and production teams
● Support smooth day-to-day operations
Housekeeping & Hygiene
● Maintain clean and audit-ready intake and storage areas
● Remove waste and manage spillages promptly
● Follow cleaning schedules and hygiene standards
Continuous Improvement
● Identify inefficiencies and raise improvement suggestions
● Support implementation of new processes
● Flexibility to work with other departments when required during peak and low periods.
Skills and Experience
● Electric counterbalance forklift license (preferred but training can be given)
● Previous experience in a food manufacturing, chilled warehouse, or FMCG (fast moving
consumer goods) environment is preferred (but not essential).
● Strong attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and record keeping.
● Ability to work independently in chilled, ambient and frozen storage locations.
● Good communication skills and ability to work as a part of a small cross functional team.
● Basic computer literacy (microsoft excel / google sheets).
