Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Post office and Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing excellent service. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Provide product information and recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction
- Upsell products and promotions to maximise sales opportunities
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and courteously
- Manage stock levels, restocking shelves as necessary and organising stockroom areas
- To undertake stock, order, display, promotion and pricing of goods.
- Keep the store organised, clean, and welcoming at all times
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management tasks as required
To work in the Post Office in an effective and efficient manner, including tasks such as counter sales, preparation of post, and reconciliations.
- To carry out day to day Post Office operations and duties in an efficient and effective manner.
- To open and close the Post Office ensuring all procedures are followed.
- To provide high levels of customer care within The Post Office.
- To comply with Post Office rules and regulations.
- To deputise for the Posts Office Manager in their absence
Experience
- Previous experience in Post office and retail sales or customer service is essential
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritise effectively
- Time management abilities to ensure prompt service during busy periods
