Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting various construction projects through manual labour, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progress of building activities. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for safety, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills within the construction industry. Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and clearing of sites, including loading and unloading materials.
- Supporting trades such as roofing, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, carpentry, plastering, fabrication, and construction painting as required.
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Assisting with the installation of scaffolding, formwork, or other temporary structures.
- Mixing and applying materials such as cement or plaster.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Following schematics and instructions from supervisors to support various construction activities.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during site operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or related trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, masonry, or carpentry is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for eager learners.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of schematics or technical drawings is beneficial.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and practices on-site.
- Willingness to learn new skills across different aspects of construction work.
