Fleet Engineer – Winter Seasonal Position leading to Permanent role

Anglo Welsh is looking for a practical, hardworking and enthusiastic Fleet Engineerto join our team at Silsden and help us prepare our fleet of boats for the busy 2027 summer season.
This is a hands-on role working as part of our team throughout the winter, carrying out essential maintenance, repairs and improvements to ensure our boats are looking their best and are ready for the new season.
The Role
Your work will include:
- Maintaining and servicing boat engines and mechanical equipment
- Carrying out general repairs and maintenance
- Repairing and improving boat interiors
- Painting and decorating boats to a high standard
- Helping to prepare the fleet for the 2027 summer season
- Working as part of a busy team to complete winter maintenance schedules
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
About You
Previous experience in a similar role is not essential. We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and willing to learn.
A general knowledge of mechanics, engineering, DIY or painting and decoratingwould be an advantage, but full training and support will be provided to the right person.
Most importantly, you’ll need to demonstrate a positive attitude, good practical abilities and a willingness to get stuck in and help wherever needed.
Hours & Contract
- 40 hours per week
- 5 days per week including weekends
- Winter seasonal position
- The role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate
