Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis)

We are looking for Support Workers to join our dedicated residential teams in Sunderland, supporting adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions and a range of additional needs.

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play an important role in helping the people we support live fulfilling and independent lives.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centred support within a residential setting.
- Building positive relationships and helping individuals feel safe, valued and understood.
- Supporting people with daily living skills and increasing independence.
- Encouraging participation in activities, hobbies and community opportunities.
- Supporting with personal care when required.
- Following individual support plans and autism-specific approaches.
- Helping create a calm, structured and positive environment.
- Supporting with medication following appropriate training.
- Working alongside colleagues, families and professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
- Completing accurate records and contributing to ongoing support planning.

Previous experience supporting people with autism, learning disabilities or complex needs is desirable, but full training and support will be provided for the right person.
