Evolution Safety Solutions Ltd is a growing Health, Safety, Environmental and Fire Safety consultancy and training provider delivering professional compliance solutions across the UK. We work with organisations of all sizes across multiple sectors, delivering practical, engaging and compliant training alongside consultancy services.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated First Aid & Health & Safety Compliance Trainer to join our expanding team.
This role is ideal for a confident trainer who is passionate about developing others, maintaining high standards of compliance, and delivering engaging, professional training courses both in-house and at client locations throughout the UK.
The Role
The successful candidate will deliver a range of accredited and non-accredited First Aid and Health & Safety training courses to clients across various industries. The role will involve preparing course materials, maintaining learner records, ensuring awarding body compliance, and supporting quality assurance processes.
You will represent Evolution Safety Solutions professionally at all times and contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the business.
Frequent travel and occasional overnight stays may be required depending on client locations and course schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accredited First Aid training courses including:
- Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
- First Aid at Work (FAW)
- Paediatric First Aid
- CPR & AED
- Oxygen Administration
- Basic Life Support
- Mental Health First Aid (where qualified)
- Deliver Health & Safety related courses including:
- Manual Handling
- Fire Safety Awareness
- Working at Height
- Risk Assessment
- Abrasive Wheels
- COSHH Awareness
- General Workplace Safety
- Prepare and maintain training equipment and course materials
- Ensure all courses are delivered in line with awarding body and regulatory requirements
- Complete accurate assessment paperwork and learner documentation
- Maintain professional standards and CPD requirements
- Support internal quality assurance and compliance activities
- Assist with course development and improvement
- Promote additional company training and consultancy services where appropriate
- Travel to client sites throughout the UK to deliver training
Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent recognised Health & Safety qualification)
- Accredited Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF/QCF/Ofqual regulated)
- Recognised Teaching Qualification such as:
- Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET)
- PTLLS
- Cert Ed
- PGCE
- Equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage groups professionally and confidently
- Competent IT and administrative skills
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK
- A clear DBS or willing to do one
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
The following would be advantageous:
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA/A1)
- IQA Qualification (Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance)
- Mental Health First Aid Instructor qualification
- Fire Safety qualification(s)
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
- Experience delivering regulated qualifications
- Experience working with awarding bodies
- Experience within emergency services, military, industrial or construction environments
