Schmidt Kitchens is looking for a motivated and organised Part-Time Sales Administrator to join our luxurious kitchen and home interior showroom in St Albans.
You will become an important part of our busy showroom team, supporting our designers and helping to deliver an exceptional customer experience from the initial design stage through to the successful completion of each project.
The Role
The role of Sales Administrator is varied and plays an important part in ensuring that our customer projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Working closely with our designers, suppliers and installation teams, you will provide essential administrative support throughout the customer journey. You will act as a key point of reference for queries relating to supplier lead times, deliveries, project scheduling and installation coordination, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Supporting the sales and design team with day-to-day administration
· Assisting with customer orders and project documentation
· Coordinating with suppliers regarding lead times and deliveries
· Helping to plan and coordinate installation schedules
· Maintaining accurate customer and project records
· Following up on orders, deliveries and outstanding actions
· Communicating with customers, suppliers and installation teams
· Providing general showroom and administrative support
· Helping the team deliver an exceptional customer experience
About You
We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, personable, organised and reliable, with excellent communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
· Experience in a customer-facing administrative role
· Excellent organisational and time-management skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Good IT skills, particularly across Microsoft Office
· Confidence communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues
· The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
· A reliable and proactive approach to work
· A genuine desire to work as part of a team
· Previous experience within the kitchen, interiors, home improvement would be advantageous, but is not essential
What We Offer
Salary: £15 per hour + commission
Hours: 20 hours per week
Holiday: 20 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata)
