Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Driver/Labourer to join our team. This role involves operating vehicles for delivery purposes and assisting with labour tasks around the site. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including delivery vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Deliver goods to specified locations efficiently and on time, ensuring accurate documentation of deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Support warehouse operations by organising stock, preparing orders, and maintaining cleanliness of the work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance requirements to ensure optimal operation.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in warehouse operations or manual labour tasks is desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with team members and clients.
- Organised, punctual, and able to manage time effectively during busy schedules.
- Physically fit with the stamina to handle long periods of driving and manual work throughout the day. This role is suitable for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a hardworking team while developing their skills in logistics and labouring tasks.
Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
