This is a production-based role focused on manufacturing metal planters using MIG welding techniques in a fast-paced workshop environment.

The Role – MIG Production Welder
This role is ideal for a MIG welder who prefers repetitive, hands-on work and enjoys working within a structured production process.
You will be manufacturing metal planters and other garden and landscaping products using pre-cut materials, jigs, and fixtures to ensure consistency across all products.
Materials include:
- Mild steel
- Corten Steel
- Zintec and Galvanised Steel
- Aluminium (occasionally)
You will follow set processes and repeat the same fabrication tasks daily to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive MIG welding on planter components
- Assemble panels, bases, and frames using jigs and fixtures
- Follow standardised fabrication processes and drawings
- Maintain consistent weld quality across high-volume production
- Grind, clean, and finish welded planters
- Inspect products for defects and ensure uniformity
- Meet daily and weekly production targets
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Carry out basic equipment checks and report issues
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in MIG welding (production environment preferred)
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy
- Basic understanding of fabrication drawings
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and able to meet production targets
- Strong work ethic and team player attitude
Desirable
- Experience working with metal planters or similar products
- Use of jigs and fixtures in manufacturing
- Grinding and finishing experience
