Purple Granite Ltd has been supplying and installing high-quality stone worktops since 2010. We work with leading kitchen companies, builders, shopfitters, and private homeowners, and our reputation is built on quality, reliability, and craftsmanship.
Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a Trainee Worktop Fitter to join our Installation Team. This role is perfect for someone who’s practical, hardworking, and genuinely wants to learn a skilled trade with long-term career prospects.
No previous experience is required — what matters most is your attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn. We’ll give you the training, support, and opportunities to progress.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working alongside experienced fitters, you’ll learn the trade hands-on and develop real, valuable skills. Your day-to-day will include:
- Assisting with the installation of stone worktops in customers’ homes and commercial settings
- Learning to use tools and equipment safely and correctly (full training provided)
- Supporting preparation, quality checks, and pre-loading for installations
- Preparing vans with the correct tools and materials for each job
- Working safely both in our workshop and on customer sites
- Representing the company professionally and respectfully with customers
- Helping with yard duties and supporting the wider team when required
Who We’re Looking For

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

- Practical with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Professional, polite, and customer-focused
You’ll also need:
- A full UK driving licence
- Flexibility, as occasional overtime or weekend work may be available
Working Hours & Location
- 37.5 hours per week contract
- Monday to Friday as standard
- Based at our head office, with travel to customer sites
