Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Hand/Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Cook dishes as directed by senior kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Support the team during busy periods by serving meals efficiently and courteously
- Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and storing ingredients appropriately
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to within the kitchen environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
