At The Chelsea Nursery, we provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow and thrive. We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Nursery Apprentice to join our friendly team and begin a rewarding career in early years education.
The Role
As a Nursery Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced childcare professionals while studying towards a recognised Early Years qualification. You will gain hands-on experience supporting children's learning and development in a busy nursery setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day care and supervision of children aged 0–5 years.
- Assisting with planning and delivering fun, engaging activities.
- Helping children develop social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Supporting meal, snack, and hygiene routines.
- Ensuring the nursery remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Observing and recording children's progress under supervision.
- Following safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine interest in working with young children.
- A positive, caring, and patient attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are desirable but not essential, depending on apprenticeship requirements.
