Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily tasks.
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure that each client's specific needs are met.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status and any changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to home care and IT systems used for record-keeping.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary for interacting with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when needed.
- A caring attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality support are essential traits for success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times
- Follow personalized care plans meticulously to meet individual health and wellbeing requirements
- Support medication administration as directed and ensure accurate documentation of all care activities
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address concerns promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Use IT systems to update records, track progress, and document care activities clearly and accurately
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments when required, supporting their social engagement and independence
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with residents, families, and team members
- Basic IT literacy for documentation and record keeping purposes
- Valid driving license is preferred for roles involving home visits or transportation of clients
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while demonstrating compassion and patience
- Good understanding of health and safety protocols relevant to caregiving environments
