Class 1 Trunking Work
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our logistics team, specialising in Trunking.
This role involves transporting goods between depots to depots, ensuring loads are safely secured and delivered on time. It’s ideal for drivers with experience in trunking operations who are confident with load security and trunking routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 (C+E) curtain sider vehicles on trunking routes
- Carry out pre-journey vehicle and trailer checks, including load security
- Safely secure and transport loads using curtain sider trailers
- Complete trunking runs between distribution centres
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records
- Communicate with the transport office regarding any delays or issues
- Comply with all driving laws, WTD, and company procedures
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with a clean driving record
- Good knowledge of load securing practices
- Understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexible with shifts 15.30to 17.30
