Due to continued growth within Maintenance 24-7, we are now looking to recruit two experienced Multi-Trade Maintenance Operatives to work together as a dedicated two-person reactive and small works team.
You will travel and work together in one fully equipped company van, attending restaurants, pubs, hospitality venues, retail units and commercial properties across London and the Home Counties.
The role will primarily involve reactive maintenance call-outs and smaller quoted works, with a strong focus on diagnosing problems quickly, completing repairs efficiently and achieving a first-time fix wherever possible.
The Role
Working together as a two-person team, your duties will include:
- Reactive maintenance and repair works
- Small quoted works and minor refurbishment projects
- Plumbing repairs and replacements
- Carpentry and joinery
- Door, lock and ironmongery repairs
- Minor plastering and making good
- Painting and decorating
- Tiling
- Flooring repairs
- Basic roofing and guttering works
- General building and fabric repairs
- Minor groundworks where required
- Fault finding and diagnosing maintenance issues
- Identifying materials required to complete repairs
- Collecting or ordering materials when necessary
- Completing digital worksheets, photographs and job reports
- Liaising professionally with site managers, clients and our helpdesk
- Keeping the company van, tools and working areas clean and organised
We are particularly interested in applicants whose skills complement each other across several trades.
Between the two operatives, we expect the team to be capable of dealing with the majority of general building maintenance issues and small works without the need to call in additional trades.
About You
We are looking for experienced operatives who:
- Have strong multi-trade maintenance experience
- Have experience working within commercial, hospitality or retail environments
- Are confident attending reactive maintenance jobs
- Can investigate faults and find practical solutions
- Can complete smaller quoted works from start to finish
- Produce a consistently high standard of workmanship
- Understand the importance of working cleanly and professionally in live customer environments
- Are reliable, presentable and customer focused
- Have a good understanding of Health & Safety
- Are comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for worksheets, photographs and job updates
- Work well as part of a two-person team
- Are flexible and willing to assist across different trades
Experience in carpentry, plumbing, roofing, flooring, decorating or general building maintenance would be particularly advantageous.
A full UK driving licence is required.
