Class 2 driver needed for our client in Worcester
This role is overnight Retail Store Deliveries to locations in the UK
Maximum 2-3 drops per night with a 2nd driver to accompany, help offload & share the driving

This is an ongoing contract for an experienced Class 2 based in Worcester

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires expertise in HGV driving and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive Class 2 lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Unlock and lock up retail stores and also set the store alarms.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during transportation.
Experience
- Proven experience as a HGV driver
- Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities and logistics.
- Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively.
