An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational, experienced and visionary Physiotherapist to join Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) as our Professional Lead for Physiotherapy.
This is a strategically important leadership role within the Psychological Professionals and Therapies Directorate, working under the line management of the Chief Allied Health Professional (AHP). The successful candidate will provide professional leadership and strategic direction for Physiotherapy services and the Physiotherapy workforce across the organisation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care across a diverse range of services.
In addition to leading the profession, the postholder will act as the Trust's Strategic Falls Lead, driving the development, implementation and evaluation of falls prevention strategies across physical health, mental health and learning disability services to improve patient outcomes, reduce harm and support healthy ageing.
This is a unique opportunity to influence service development at organisational level whilst championing professional excellence, workforce development and innovation.
As Professional Lead for Physiotherapy, you will be responsible for providing visible professional leadership, strategic oversight and clinical governance across the Physiotherapy profession within RDaSH.
The Physiotherapy workforce delivers services across multiple pathways including:
- Community Physical Health Services
- Intermediate Care and Rehabilitation
- Community and Specialist Rehabilitation Services
- Mental Health Services – acute and community.
- Community Learning Disability Services
You will work collaboratively with operational leaders, clinical teams, professional leads and system partners to ensure Physiotherapy services are safe, effective, person-centred and aligned to organisational and national priorities.
