Overview
We are looking a friendly and professional Part-time Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and possess a keen interest in the culinary and restaurant industry. Flexibility with shifts, including evenings and weekends, is preferred to accommodate our busy service hours.
Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and take their orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with safety and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper handling of all food items
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing enquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure smooth service flow
- Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with guests courteously
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing purposes
- Experience in guest services, upselling, or culinary roles is a plus
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt within a team environment
