Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and organizing supplies
- Support chefs and kitchen staff in cooking activities by providing timely assistance when needed
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies to prevent spoilage and maintain freshness
- Clear and clean dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently during service hours
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to keep the kitchen tidy and environmentally friendly
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for everyone
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
