Overview
We are seeking a skilled CPCS/NPORS Tractor Driver to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is essential for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery on construction sites and other industrial environments. The ideal candidate will possess relevant certification, practical experience, and a strong commitment to safety standards. Duties
- Operate tractors equipped with CPCS/NPORS certification in accordance with site safety protocols.
- Assist with the mobilisation and demobilisation of machinery across various locations.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment, including checking mechanical components.
- Support excavation activities by manoeuvring machinery accurately around site boundaries and obstacles.
- Collaborate with site managers and other operatives to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of operational hours, inspections, and any issues encountered during shifts.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Skills
- Valid CPCS/NPORS certification for tractor operation.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly operating heavy machinery such as tractors and excavators.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance tasks.
- Ability to operate excavators is highly desirable, providing versatility on-site.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction environments.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team setting.
