Role Overview: Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a HR Generalist to join the HR team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role, working alongside the HR Manager to support key aspects of the day-to day employee lifecycle.
The Junior HR Generalist will support the delivery of a professional and efficient HR service across the business. Working closely with the HR Manager, the role provides exposure to the full employee lifecycle and offers an excellent opportunity to develop a career in Human Resources.
This position is ideal for a junior HR professional seeking broad HR experience and a structured pathway towards a more senior HR Generalist or HR Manager role in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & HR Support
- Act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and managers.
- Provide accurate and timely advice in line with company policies and procedures.
- Support disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance processes.
- Assist with employee investigations and note-taking where required.
HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems.
- Prepare employment contracts, letters, and HR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and company record-retention requirements.
Payroll & Benefits
- Assist with payroll administration and provide payroll-related information within agreed deadlines.
- Support the administration of employee benefits and pension schemes.
- Resolve routine payroll queries with employees and managers.
Training & Development
- Coordinate training activities and maintain training records.
- Monitor mandatory training compliance.
- Support learning and development initiatives across the business.
HR Reporting
- Produce regular HR reports and management information.
- Monitor HR metrics such as absence, turnover, recruitment, and training compliance.
- Assist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Essential
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Desirable
- CIPD Level 3 or working towards a CIPD qualification.
- Previous HR administration or HR support experience.
- Experience using HR or payroll systems.
- Knowledge of UK employment legislation.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
