Responsibilities
- Assist qualified pharmacy staff with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols
- Engage with patients to provide friendly advice on over-the-counter products and basic health queries
- Maintain accurate records of medication stock levels, expiry dates, and storage conditions
- Help prepare and organize prescription orders, ensuring timely delivery to patients
- Uphold high standards of patient care by adhering to confidentiality and safety guidelines
- Participate in training sessions and development activities to progress towards NVQ Level 2 qualification
Experience
- Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant or in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong interest in healthcare, medication management, and patient care
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse patient groups
- Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully and maintain accuracy in all tasks
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills within a pharmacy environment
