Senior Accountant Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join a team based in Bristol, this role is vital in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the company's growth objectives. As a Senior Accountant, you will contribute to maintaining financial integrity and optimizing financial processes aligned with our mission.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
- Review tax return.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft to streamline financial operations.
- Support financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial procedures.
- Mentor junior staff members to develop their accounting skills.
- Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Assist in audits and prepare necessary documentation.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft.
- Strong understanding of financial services and financial management principles.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to mentor and support team members.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Relevant accounting certifications (e.g., ACCA, ACA, AAT) are preferred
