Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable LCV fitter to join our growing Fleet Management company that is expanding due to continued success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection and repair of a wide range of LCV’s, ensuring equipment is kept safe, reliable, and operational.
This role will be mobile for the most part, with workshop hours when required.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on LGVs, trailers, and associated fleet vehicles
- Complete inspections and ensure vehicles are returned to a safe, roadworthy standard
- Replace and repair components such as brakes, clutches, suspension, steering systems, gearboxes, and engines
- Conduct roadside breakdown repairs when required
- Maintain accurate job sheets, service records, and inspection documentation
Requirements:
- Keep the workshop and equipment safe, clean, and well maintained
- Self-motivated and able to manage workload efficiently
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing faults on a range of commercial vehicles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends if required
- Full driving license
- Current CSCS card preferred
- HGV desirable
