Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and education to children, fostering their development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills whilst working closely with children to support their individual needs. The Nursery Practitioner Level 3 will play a vital role in creating a positive learning atmosphere and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental stages of children.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that promotes children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Supervise and support junior staff and trainees, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high standards of childcare.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioural observations in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times by adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Organise daily routines including meal times, play activities, rest periods, and outdoor play sessions.
- Contribute to the organisation of nursery events and activities that enhance children's learning experiences.
- Support the implementation of early childhood education frameworks whilst maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare).
- Proven experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of current early childhood education practices and regulations.
