Chef / Sous Chef
Moda Italian & Mediterranean Restaurant is a family-run restaurant established for over 18 years, with a great reputation for quality food, service and hospitality. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Chef / Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
This role would suit someone who already has some experience working in a busy kitchen, but is also keen to learn, grow and develop. You will work closely alongside our main chef and kitchen team, helping with daily food preparation, cooking and service.
You will be trained in our dishes, our style of cooking, presentation and the way we do things at Moda. We believe in teaching the right person and giving them room to progress, as long as they have the right attitude, work ethic and passion for food.
Main responsibilities:
Preparing, cooking and serving dishes to a high standard
Learning our menu, recipes, presentation and kitchen standards
Supporting the main chef and team during service
Helping with preparation before service and keeping sections organised
Maintaining good hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards at all times
Following kitchen procedures and helping the kitchen run smoothly
Working well as part of a team in a busy restaurant environment
What we are looking for:
Previous kitchen experience is preferred
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Someone who takes pride in their work and presentation
Good teamwork and communication skills
Ability to stay calm and organised during busy service
A good understanding of hygiene and food safety
Passion for food and interest in developing their skills

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
