Salary: £31,675 - £35,425 DOE
Earnings: £35,300 - £39,050, based on 7 sleep ins per month
Hours: 40.5 per week
Shift pattern: 2 shifts on, 4 shifts off on a rolling rota, this covers weekends and public holidays (you would always be on a sleep in on the first shift, on the second shift you potentially may finish at 10:30pm. Across 10 shifts you would sleep in for approximately 7 per month)
Shift times if on a double sleep in:10am to 11pm (sleep in), 7am until 11pm (sleep) 7am until 10:30am after handover with other staff, off 4 days

Essential criteria: Minimum 12 months experience in residential childcare + driving licence
We are recruiting for a senior residential support worker at our Children's home called the Nook in Colne, East Lancashire.
The Nook is located in Colne (BB8) at the end of the M65 Motorway, this home is easily accessible from areas of East Lancashire, including Blackburn, Accrington, Burnley, Nelson & Clitheroe, in addition to surrounding areas such as Keighley, Skipton & Ilkley. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced residential support worker to lead shifts in a well-established Residential Children’s home. This home is a 3 bedded therapeutic service, for girls aged 11-17 supported by one of Hexagon’s psychologists.
You will have experience working in a residential home for children (minimum 12 months, please note we cannot consider adult care, school experience or other areas of social care as equivalent), and ideally a Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) a full UK driving license is essential for this post to drive the shared car used by the home.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker you will ideally have:
- A knowledge around the needs of children and young people with EBD/SEMH and the support services required to ensure their needs are fully met (essential)
- Strong communication skills with an ability to lead on shift (essential)
- Good character and integrity with resilience that matches the demands of this challenging role (essential)
- An NVQ3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or QCF Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (desirable)
- A minimum of 12 months experience working in a residential home for children (essential)
