Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Special Nepalese Curry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Nepalese cuisine, with a particular focus on authentic curry dishes. This role involves leading food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality Nepalese culinary experiences. The successful applicant will contribute their expertise to create authentic flavours while maintaining excellent food safety standards in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook traditional Nepalese curry dishes with authentic flavours and presentation standards.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high culinary standards.
- Coordinate food production activities, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in menu development by introducing new Nepalese dishes and improving existing recipes.
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience in culinary arts specialising in Nepalese cuisine or similar Asian cuisines.
- Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing kitchen teams effectively.
- Excellent understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Previous restaurant experience with a focus on food production and service delivery.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences through authentic Nepalese flavours.
Pay: £31,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
