Experienced Bench Joiner required for immediate start at our workshop in Charlwood surrey. You are required to manufacture bespoke windows and doors from raw timber through to finished assembly.
Key requirements
Timber preperation - You will be required to read and interpret workshop drawings and cutting lists to process select materials through the machine shop. Must have knowledge setting up all machinery, four sided planer, spindle molder, tennoner, panel saw, morticer and overhand planer. Machining duties will include rebates, grooving, profile moulding, raised and fielded panel work and ring fence work.
Assembly - Machine and assemble various mortice and tenon joints, scribe joints and bespoke moldings for period front doors, sash windows and casement windows. Must be able rout out and fit an assortment of locks and ironmongery. Must be proficient in glazing and have a good understanding of the differences between single and double glazing.
Quality assurance- Must be able to work to specified sizes with accuracy prior to sanding and spray finishing.
