Job Details
Salary: West Sussex Grade 3 currently £24,796 - £25,185 per annum pro rata. (Actual salary £16,007 - £16,258 p.a. dependent on experience). Contract Type: Fixed term to 20 July 2027 Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (Term Time only) Location: Worthing area Interviews: Friday 19 June 2026
What You Need to Succeed
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and creative Teaching Assistant to support children’s learning. Ideally a person who has (or is working towards) NVQ L3 and experience of working in EYFS & KS1 to assist the Class Teachers and / or SENDCo Inclusion Lead by providing additional support under their supervision to children. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and able to form effective relationships with children and staff and have a full commitment to child protection, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils. We are looking for someone who: • Has an interest in and love for working with children • Has natural patience, enthusiasm and empathy with children who have specific needs • Can support individual children on a one-to-one basis and in a small group • Is flexible, motivated & enthusiastic. • Is able to support children of different abilities. • Has passion and initiative in delivering and supporting motivating learning opportunities for children • Will work with the class teacher to provide high quality in-class provision • Has a positive approach and will be flexible to the demands of the job • Is a team player as well as using your own initiative • Will strive to attain high standards of behaviour and learning. • Has the ability to support children in achieving their best. • Is committed to developing AFL and emotional literacy with young children. • Can make a positive contribution to our school community and work as part of a team. You will be working within a large team of teachers across the year group and will be provided with excellent support from the Leadership team.
