Job Overview
We are seeking 2 proactive and detail-oriented General Assistants to support our engineering and technical teams. Responsible for assisting the engineers in general servicing, preparing jobs and troubleshooting and repairs of Diesel Generators and related equipment according to company standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in working with diesel generators. The successful candidate will assist with various technical tasks, ensuring smooth project progression and operational efficiency. Although no experience is necessary, a foundation in engineering principles, is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
· Job preparation in the yard
· Assist engineers to complete routine services of plant at depot
· Ensure work area are maintained in safe and good order in compliance with QHSE
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Good basic secondary education, with Mathematics or an equivalent qualification.
· Good English language skills
· Full valid driving licence
· Forklift truck licence desirable
· Good communication skills
· Ability to work in a team
· Ability to work under a low level of supervision and under own initiative
· Commitment and Self motivation
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
· Exposed to outside weather conditions
· Required to move about or lift heavy objects
· Standby duties on yard
Remuneration:
· Competitive Salary
· 20 to 23 days holiday, plus birthday leave and bank holidays
· Overtime available on Weekday and Weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
