Job Overview
We are seeking a professional LGV Class 1 Drivers for our night shifts. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring timely arrivals and maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and cleanliness. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking to work overnight hours in a dynamic logistics environment. ADR and Level CO trained certification are welcomed but not essential training provided where required.
Duties
- Conduct pre-journey safety inspections of the lorry, including checks on tyres, brakes, lights, and load security
- Safely operate LGV vehicles on designated routes during night hours with both Double deck and straight frame curtain sided trailers.
- Ensuring correct handling and securement of cargo
- Deliver or collect goods to and from various locations in a timely manner, adhering to delivery schedules and traffic regulations
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery notes and mileage logs
- Follow company policies regarding driving hours and rest periods to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle throughout shifts
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with Double Deck and straight frame curtain sided vehicles
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
- Delivery driver experience with a track record of punctuality and reliability
- Excellent driving skills with the ability to handle large vehicles confidently in various road conditions
- Good organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and complete paperwork accurately
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high safety standards

Pay: £18.50-£20.00 per hour
