About the Role
Cromwell Medical Staffing is recruiting experienced Band 5 RGN Nurses for an urgent opportunity on Ward A700 at Bristol Royal Infirmary.
This is a high-priority requirement, with candidates considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Role Details
- Location: Bristol Royal Infirmary, Bristol
- Ward: A700
- Grade: Band 5 RGN
- Duration: 6 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Minimum Availability: 3 shifts per week
- Shift Pattern: Monday–Sunday
- Day Shifts: 07:00–19:30
- Night Shifts: 19:00–07:30, subject to availability
- Pay: £21.00–£32.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Requirements
- Current NMC registration
- Recent tracheostomy or chest drain experience is essential
- Relevant UK NHS experience
- Updated CV clearly showing relevant skills and experience
- Right to work in the UK
- DBS on the Update Service preferred
Key Skills Required
- Tracheostomy and routine stoma care
- Tracheal suctioning and airway management
- Emergency tracheostomy tube changes
- Cuff pressure monitoring and humidification
- Speaking valve application
- Monitoring chest drain systems
- Chest drain site assessment and dressing changes
- Recognising chest tube dislodgement and signs of tension pneumothorax
