Based in Liverpool
We are seeking an experienced Administrator to provide support to the Clinical Diagnostic Parasitology Laboratory within the Clinical Sciences Department. Reporting to the CPDL Unit Manager, in this role you will transcribe patient data and specialised test results onto clinical reports manually using Microsoft word and excel templates, you will also input data onto invoices in order to charge numerous users for the diagnostic work carried out in the unit, as well as maintaining manual paper-based filing systems.
Key Responsibilities are (but not limited to):

Transcribe patient data and specialised test results onto clinical reports using Microsoft word and excel templates

Data input onto clinical invoices for multiple tests to multiple users,

Maintain manual hard copy filing systems of patient records

Keep relevant people updated on progress and updating relevant records

Compliance with departmental policies, confidentiality, and GDPR
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, Microsoft excel and word skills with project-based general and financial administration experience, ideally within a clinical environment.
The candidate will also ideally demonstrate:

Relevant data input experience using Microsoft word and excel

Proven experience of working in a regulated environment

Proven administrative and numerical skills with the ability to work accurately with numbers and patient data

Organised and analytical approach to work

Strong analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail

Proficient computer skills with inclusive of MS Office Software especially Excel and Word
-
Proactive approach to problem-solving by identifying issues and finding appropriate solutions
Experience of moving/assisting a move to an electronic database would be desirable as this is something we are aiming for in the near future.
