About the Role
We are currently seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a welcoming educational setting.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of learners who require additional support to achieve their full potential.
You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech and Language needs
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
- Complex needs
- Learning disabilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
- Support students both inside and outside of the classroom
- Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies
- Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs where required
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning
- Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
