Job Summary
TRN is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Tutor – Residential Childcare to join our Work Based Learning team.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging online teaching to learners studying Level 3 to Level 5 Residential Childcare qualifications, including both apprenticeship and diploma programmes.
Working remotely from home, you'll deliver high-quality live teaching via Microsoft Teams, helping learners develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to succeed in their careers.

Duties
- Deliver engaging live online teaching via Microsoft Teams.
- Teach Residential Childcare qualifications from Levels 3–5.
- Support both apprenticeship and diploma learners to achieve successful outcomes.
- Create engaging digital learning resources using educational technology and AI tools where appropriate.
- Motivate and support learners to achieve their full potential.
- Monitor learner progress, attendance and engagement.
- Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality improvement activities.
- Work collaboratively with Skills Coaches and the wider delivery team.
Requirements
Essential
- Minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in Residential Childcare (or closely related subject).
- Teaching qualification at Level 4 or above.
- Experience delivering Residential Childcare qualifications or apprenticeship programmes.
- Experience delivering online teaching using Microsoft Teams or similar platforms.
- Strong digital skills and confidence using online learning technologies.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and providing an outstanding learner experience.
Desirable
- Level 5 vocational qualification.
- Level 5 teaching qualification (DET or equivalent).
- QTLS or QTS.
- Assessor qualification (TAQA/A1 or equivalent).
- Experience using AI and educational technology to enhance teaching and curriculum development.
