Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant & Carer to provide comprehensive support and care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. Duties
- Assist with daily routines such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support with household tasks including meal preparation, light cleaning, and medication management according to care plans
- Provide transportation using your driving skills for appointments, errands, or social activities
- Maintain clear communication with healthcare professionals and family members regarding care needs and progress
- Monitor health conditions, report any concerns promptly, and adapt care approaches as specified in care plans
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance overall well-being
- Use IT tools to update records, document care activities, and manage schedules efficiently
Skills
- Proven driving experience with a valid license and good knowledge of local routes
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and scheduling purposes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring, respectful approach towards clients
- Ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly and professionally
