We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our small, independent Special Educational Needs (SEN) school based in the Denton area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional needs in a nurturing, therapeutic, and child-centred environment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about education, committed to helping pupils achieve their potential, and able to build positive relationships with both students and colleagues.
About the Role
As a Part Time Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils both within the classroom and during wider school activities. You will help create a positive learning environment that encourages engagement, confidence, and personal development.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working within an educational setting
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly across agreed days Monday to Friday
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
Desirable:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, or associated needs
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working within a small specialist school environment
