Job Overview
We are seeking 4 Traffic & Carpark controllers to manage the flow of show traffic over the weekend of our annual show 7th - 9th August 2026 The successful candidate will ensure safety, efficiency, and smooth operation of traffic movements. You need to have excellent communication skills as the entrance lane is a narrow single track road.
Duties
- Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian movement within designated areas using signalling devices or hand signals.
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control measures accordingly to prevent congestion or accidents.
- Communicate effectively with team members, site managers, and drivers to coordinate activities and relay important information.
- Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to, including the proper placement of signage and barriers.
- Record incidents or hazards encountered during shifts and report them promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in traffic management is NOT required. Just good common sense and the ability to interact calmly and politely with the general public is a must have.
- All training will be given on the weekend of the event.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly to changing conditions on-site.
Pay: £150.00 per day
