NTS UK are currently in need of an ambitious Civil Engineer with knowledge in either Structural or Geotechnical engineering to fill our Graduate Temporary Works Engineer (Groundworks) vacancy and join our growing team. You will be joining a small dynamic team within a rapidly growing company. The role will be both exciting and challenging, with the successful candidate enjoying the rewards of an innovative company increasing its reputation and footprint within a highly competitive and specialist industry. The role will also involve collaborating with our US parent company to to align our global engineering team.
Typical Work Undertaken
The NTS UK engineering team, led by our experienced Engineering Director produce both project specific and standard design solutions in line with British Standards or Eurocodes and CDM requirements. On a day to day basis the engineering team are responsible for:
· Shallow excavation support system designs – trench boxes/light weight shields
· Deep excavation support system designs – slide rail/sheet & frame solutions
· Bespoke fabrications
· Providing presentations to contractors and clients
· Site installations
· Product development
You will report to our Engineering Director and be responsible for:
· Producing temporary works designs in accordance with the relevant standards
· Attending site meetings
· Value engineering cost effective solutions with our clients
· Supporting our UK sales team
Requirements
· Knowledge of Temporary Works/ Excavations/Shoring/Excavation Support Preferable
· Accomplished in the use of AutoCAD
· Knowledge and experience with Revit
· Good level of knowledge in structural analysis and soil mechanics
· Knowledge of Structural or Geotechnical Design (Preferred)
· Relevant Degree or Similar Qualification
· Proficient in the use of Office 365 (including Excel)
· Full UK Driving License
