As a Pharmacy Assistant, you'll be a familiar and trusted face for our community, supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy and ensuring every customer leaves feeling looked after.
Key responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide a professional, helpful service at the counter
- Accurately dispense and label prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Assist with over-the-counter sales, offering advice within your scope of training
- Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving deliveries and rotating products
- Handle prescriptions, payments and confidential information with care and accuracy
- Support the wider pharmacy team to keep the shop clean, tidy and well-presented
- Signpost customers to the pharmacist or other healthcare services when appropriate
What we're looking for:
- A genuine interest in healthcare and helping people
- Strong communication skills and a calm, approachable manner
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately
- A reliable team player who can also use initiative when needed
- Basic IT skills and confidence handling tills and pharmacy systems
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or customer-facing role is welcome, though full training will be provided
- A willingness to complete the accredited Pharmacy Assistant training, if not already qualified
